Dr. Stephanie DeMarco

Dr. Stephanie DeMarco has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in Delaware for over 20 years.  She received her Undergraduate Degree from the University of Delaware and her DVM from Oklahoma State University in 2001.  She has been practicing General Practice and Emergency Veterinary care in Delaware since graduation and is excited to join First State Urgent Vet.

At First State Urgent Vet, she is providing Urgent Care and Wellness Care to past, present and future clients of hers.  She appreciates those that have stuck with her as she finds a place that will be the best fit not only for her, but for all her patients and clients.

Services at First State will be anything from wellness to sickness appointments.  This facility has an in-house lab & extensive diagnostics tools which can provide the most comprehensive “point of care” treatment (this means same day answers) that she has ever had access to.  Surgical services are available as before and although there is no dentistry capabilities at this time, this could change in the next few months.

Dr. DeMarco is also an adjunct assistant professor at the University of Delaware (Go Blue Hens!), where she teaches Clinical Pre-Veterinary Medicine.  She loves the opportunity to share her passion for the field with tomorrow’s veterinary professionals.

Outside of work, Dr. DeMarco enjoys skiing in the winter and driving around town on her little red Vespa in the summer.  She shares her home with her family and two sweet little pups Maximus and Penelope Rose.
